Studentafton presents an evening with Elizabeth Nyamayaro!

Studentaftonutskottet has the honor to welcome Elizabeth Nyamayaro, Senior Advisor to Under-Secretary-General & Executive Director of UN Women, and leader of the #HeforShe Campaign. On October 24th, she exchanges New York and the United Nations Headquarters to Lund and Stadshallen to attend the second Studentafton this semester.

In 2014, the #HeForShe campaign was created, as part of UN Womens work, with the purpose of engaging people worldwide to act as advocates of gender equality. The campaign aimed initially to boys and men, but now encourages all people to work together for gender equality. In 2014, it received great media attention after a speech that the actress and goodwill ambassador Emma Watson held in the United Nations headquarters. Elizabeth Nyamayaro has been a part of the campaign's launch and is the UN's main responsibility for it.

Elizabeth Nyamayaro will start the evening with her own speech in 15 minutes followed by a conversation moderated by Catarina Rolfsdotter-Jansson, journalist, lecturer, program leader and author who has written a lot of books on sustainability and health. The evening ends with a 30-minute questionnaire for the audience.
